I know I’ve already expressed my thanks for my beautiful healthy children. But I want to give each of them their own post since they are so special to me for many different reasons.
I am thankful for my sweet, amazing Cole. The 3.5 years he has been with us have been the most amazing years of our lives. He has brought us such joy and fulfillment. I love each stage he goes through as it happens.
Like right now he is an extremely intelligent 3-year old. He asks questions and figures things out and will talk to anyone about anything under the sun.
And he is so loving. He loves his parents, his brother, his extended family, his doggies, his teachers, and his friends.
But I think I’m his favorite. 🙂
When I’m sitting down at home, he runs over to me, climbs in my lap, and says, “I love to hug you all day!” Or when he is playing in the playroom, he will sometimes just walk over to me and say “I need a kiss.” I give him a kiss and he goes back to playing. It’s the little things like that.
My absolute favorite is when he calls me his best girl. We were getting ready for bed a few nights ago and he wanted me to whisper something to him. So I whispered, “you’re the best Coley in the world!” Then he wanted to whisper something to me. So he pulled me down to his level and whispered in my ear, “Mommy, you’re my best girl!” It makes me melt every single time.
It is the highest honor to be my sweet Coley’s best girl. I know I won’t always be his best girl, so I will cherish each and every day that I am the #1 woman in his life.
And I hope that I hold that spot for the next 20 years. Back off my baby boy, future tramps.
