Five Things Friday

I don’t feel well today so forgive the absence of photos.  I’m lazy when I’m sick.

Things I’m digging this week:

Excedrin.  I’ve had a slight headache all week long, and it is really bad today.  Excedrin seems to take the edge off it, but I can’t get it to go away completely.  I’m assuming it’s hormone- or stress-related, because my hair has also been falling out a lot more over the past few weeks.  It’s like we live with a St. Bernard.  Named Rachel.

Water.  Mayhaps the aforementioned headache has been due to a lack of hydration.  I have found myself drinking more coffee this week and much less water.  So maybe I’m dehydrated.  I think I’ll take the weekend to detox so that maybe I can start next week sans caffeine.  I did honestly feel so much better when I was off soda at the beginning of the summer.  I don’t know why I have to be so cyclical with soda and coffee.  I should just stay away from it forever.  It does me no good.  We’ll see how that works out for me.

Honest Toddler.  If you don’t follow Honest Toddler on Twitter, you should.  He also has a blog.  He’s like @DadBoner, but a toddler.

Bouncy houses.  We took the boys to a bounce house place at the mall last night to let Cole wear himself out.  Man, I love those places.  My 3-year old can just balls-out run and jump and climb and slide and flip and spin and run completely amok for a half hour, and it only costs me $7.  If $7 buys me a good night’s sleep?  That’s a heck of a deal.

Half days.  I think I’m going home early to try to shake this horrible headache. See also:Paid Time Off.

Peace out.
