Toddle Along Tuesday: Favorite Photo

I have been simultaneously looking forward to and dreading this link-up from Mama G.  A favorite photo.  Really?  How am I to be expected to choose just ONE photo?  Zac and I are a couple of shutterbugs.  In a past life, my Mister was a photographer.  He has even been published a time or two.  He focused on sports photography, the fast nature of which has translated well into photographing our children.  I, on the other hand, am barely an amateur but grew up with a camera in my face daily (thanks, Mom) so I love to capture special moments on film.  Oh, who am I kidding.  I love to capture mundane moments on film as well.

And now I have to choose a favorite photo.  I’m just not sure it can be done.  I don’t even have the MBP or the hard drive to look through, only what I’ve uploaded onto Facebook or Shutterfly.  Okay, I’m going in.  Hold, please.

{Here’s the part where you imagine The Girl From Ipanema playing in the background.  Tall and tan and young and lovely…..}

Okay, this was actually easier than I thought it would be.  This is just a quick shot with my Nikon P6000, full auto, on shaky legs one day out from a C-section.  So forgive the poor quality.

This was taken the day after Cole was born, in a rare quiet moment at the hospital.  A brand new father, marveling at his brand new son.  And a new baby, taking in the face of his daddy.  This was one of the most perfect, most beautiful moments of my life, and I’m so glad that I was able to get a picture of it.  I could not have asked for a better father to my children than what I have in that man.
