I set out to update the look of this old blog a little. Since we are trying to save money for our trip to Disney World in May (more on that later), I knew I had to tackle my fear of messing with this blog and do it all myself if I wanted a different look. And for better or for worse, I’m done tinkering with the bones of it. I still would like a new button, but that will have to wait until I can spend some quality time with Photoshop this weekend. But I took some photos that I had processed with Instagram and put on a new roof up there, slapped some pretty wallpaper up back there, and put a few new social media knobs over there to the right.
There are still a few things left to do, but overall I’m fairly pleased with how it is coming along. As with any renovation, there will be a lot of little changes here and there, but I think I’m happy with the direction my little internet home is taking. It’s cleaner, brighter, flows easier, less clutter. At least, to me it is all of those things.
What do you think? Did I do okay?

Looks great to me – Mommy’s trying to DIY our own new blog with a new design, and it is hard! Good work!

Thanks! I literally have no idea what I’m doing. Zac had to walk me through Photoshop step by step, but I’m hoping I can at least do a button on my own. Can’t wait to see your new blog design!
Love the new design! How did you get the instagram icon… I LOVE that!
Thank you! Were you able to figure out the Instagram icon from my MeMo post? It took a bit of playing around to get it the right size and link it, but after I figured out how to make the buttons clicky it was easy.
