This Week at the House of Burks 2011-12-04

  • 30 Days of Thanks! Day 26: for perspective and civility. We have had a great time in Auburn with friends and foes alike. It's just football. #
  • I forgot how brutal the beginning of A Time To Kill is. #

  • Cole is calling every RV a bus. "There's a bus, and there's another bus!" #
  • I told Cole to stay where I can see him. He shook his finger at me and said, "but I can see me everywhere." #
  • He then put my shoes on and said, "I look prett.. I mean, I look cool and awesome." #
  • Cole is mad. "I don't wanna whisper." "I don't wanna look at the buses." Me: Do you want to give me a kiss? "Yes." #
  • 30 Days of Thanks! Day 27: for this comfortable little home on the Plains and the fun we've had here, this year and last and in the future. #
  • I love Auburn after a game day. It's so quiet and peaceful. #
  • Cole is wearing a Burger King crown. When I say he's the Burger King, he says, "no, I'm not the Burger King, I'm the Coley King." #
  • I'd like to punch Hilly Holbrook in her stupid face. #
  • I think I prefer Sugar Babies to Milk Duds. What say ye, Twitter? #
  • The overtired 2-year old is finally in bed, quacking at himself to stay awake. He won't last much longer. #
  • Now he's rubbing his head. Sleep to commence in 3… 2… 1… #
  • And then Zac goes in his room and starts putting clothes away, thus waking him up. After I told him the boy was almost asleep. Irritating. #
  • Now he is reading him a story. We have gone from nearly asleep to loud and boisterous. Seriously. #
  • Now they are both asleep in Cole's room. He can stay in there as far as I'm concerned. I haven't slept in my own bed since Tuesday night. #
  • And it's hard to sleep two adults in a double bed. Heck, it's hard for us to sleep in a queen size. I'm looking forward to sprawling out. #
  • One of my hair products' containers had a pinhole puncture. I woke up to mousse all over the bathroom counter. The entire can. Happy Monday! #
  • I am so sick of the rain today. It makes me want to just sleep. But I can't. #
  • My 2-year old walks up the stairs an says "Mommy, I pooted in my butt." Then he asked for apple juice. #
  • Hubby read the juice bottle and said it was apple juice cocktail. Cole said, "apple juice hot tail? Don't touch it!" #
  • 30 Days of Thanks! Day 28: for bad days, because they help me appreciate the good days that much more. #
  • The baby only wants to stand. Guess it's time to put the Circle of Neglect together. #
  • 30 Days of Thanks! Day 29: for.twinkling Christmas lights and how warm they make our house feel. I am happy that I love the holidays again. #
  • New post: All Hail to the Tailgate! http://t.co/AGjcnH1d #

  • A scissor you just threw in the terlit. Dear Lord, I love this show. #
  • A scissor you just threw in the terlit. #
  • Just got my first emissions test. Now it's time to get bent over a barrel at the tag office. #
  • That was relatively painless. Now I shall get the Starbucks I have been denied since last Wednesday. #
  • I cannot get enough of this baby. He is so wonderful. #
  • 30 Days of Thanks! Day 30: that I made it all the way through and only missed the last day. And now it's Christmas Month! #
  • How do you remove the neck from a turkey? I need an adult!! #
  • I forgot how much I hated this stupid pump. #
  • Milkshake or frappucino? I guess it depends on whether or not I want boys in my yard. #
  • The Cars are awesome. I will fight you. #
  • @lostinroses I went with the frap. I just didn't want to deal with the boys. #
  • Hey guys, I tweet a bit more at @RachelBurks . Just sayin'… #
  • After not wearing heels since my baby shower in August, my feet and knees are killing me after an evening in three-inch pumps. #
  • Our first evening away from Cannon went very well. He's an adaptable little guy. Still, we were happy to pick them up tonight. #
  • Phantom kicks will ALWAYS freak me out. They are also the reason I always have pregnancy tests in the bathroom closet. #
